Healing with a Crystal Geode
If you ever walk into a crystal shop you more than likely will see Crystal Caves or Geodes lined upon the shelves. These come in a variety of natural shapes and sizes, and the allure for me is the hidden crystals that form inside them.
I often wonder what it must have been like for the person who came across a geode and worked out a way to crack it open to be met with a glittering beauty of crystals inside. It fascinates me how they are formed. Some Geodes can be formed due to the bubbles found in volcanic rocks. Others in sedimentary rock layers. Mineral content dissolves and finds a hollow area, it then can take thousands even millions of years to form a Geode. During this process there is a protective outer layer, which is hardened to the elements and any weathering making it a perfect protector to cocoon the growing formation inside. Which is why some see it as a more feminine Geode possibly due to its cavity and the growth that happens inside it.
From the outside they look like any humble rock or large pebble. The outer surface is matt, dull and usually of a plain colour. Yet inside it protects and nourishes a rare beauty, and miraculously enables there to be a perfect environment to grow these unique crystals.
Common ones seen are Amethyst and Clear Quartz. But there are many others too and variations.
In terms of healing.
Due to their unique energy, they are powerful and can bring a good vibrational energy to your home, workplace or wherever you choose to place it. This energy is called βChiβ. They help with the flow of energy.
Place them in areas that you feel are stressful or feel negative, they can help with moving the flow of negative energy away. They help with your healing journey from within yourself, due them being formed from within. Some say they help with connection to higher spirits and can be used on a crystal altar, and in meditation.
Like most crystals, cleansing is important. I own a pair of Quartz Crystal Geodes and keep a lovely soft wooden brush that I dust them with regularly so that nothing stagnates. Equally I cleanse mine in natural sunlight or if you prefer this can be moonlight to charge them.
