Health & Safety at Meadowsweet.

My cabin breathes due to its wooden construction so there is always a continual air flow even when the windows are shut. Between clients everything is wiped down and fresh new sheets and towels put out. When the weather warms up at least one of the windows is opened.

With back massages I use a thick high quality non-irritant face protection sheet around the face hole that is single use only, and I always air the foam head rest between visits, with a gentle spritz of anti-bacterial spray.

My couch is electronic and will only hold a certain body weight and whilst I try to be inclusive, if you feel your weight may be under medical review with obesity then do still contact me and we can work a solution to best accommodate you.

Epilepsy will require an GP or medical team note due to the potential risk of falling off my couch if you were to have an episode and hurt yourself against my nearby desk or other items in the room. Your health and your safety is my priority before anything else.

If you suspect you have COVID or any type of flu, cough & colds or tummy upset then please DO NOT come to your appointment.

If there is a rapid surge or new outbreak of COVID or other disease then I will be wearing a mask for your protection as well as my own and will follow government guidelines.

As my cabin is in my family garden, there is a short walk from the side gate to get to the cabin. In prolonged wet and icy weather I do ensure you take care when walking across the slabs to avoid any falls or slipping.

If you have any concerns or questions. Please do feel free to contact me so that I can best answer your enquiry to make you feel comfortable when you visit.

What happens if I feel unwell on the day of my appointment?

If you feel unexpectedly unwell either the day before, or even a few days before your appointment, then it is really important that you cancel with me as soon as possible. When our bodies fight any kind of infection whether it’s bacterial or viral, getting a massage will not help in the initial stages. Likewise if get ill I will contact you as soon as I can and re-arrange your appointment.

If on the day of your appointment you have an issue due to car troubles or traffic, or aren’t feeling well then please message me on my WhatsApp Business number 07478 615497 and I will do my best to re-schedule your appointment. After all, these things do happen! Please note charges will apply if a new appointment is not booked to cover lost time. Especially as I cannot absorb this loss as a solo therapist. See terms & conditions for more info.

What will happen after booking and on my first visit?

I use a leading booking software system for all bookings. Just follow the link under opening times & booking. This takes you to a new page on Fresha with a list of all my treatments and appointment calendar. Once your appointment is booked then a consultation form will be emailed to you. It is super easy and simple to complete. Payment is requested upfront for ease but no money is taken from your account until you have finished your session/treatment with me.

There is a black doorbell by the side wooden gate which has my sign on it. Just press it and I will come out to greet you. Inside the cabin there is a place for you to hang up your coat and settle in before I ask you to get ready. At this point I will leave the cabin to allow you privacy and always knock and ask if you are ready before entering.

At the end of your treatment I will allow you to get dressed privately by leaving the cabin. I also provide a rehydrating lemon or detoxing cucumber water. In the summer months fresh garden mint and cucumber water refresh and help flush toxins out! A plain option is available too. Just ask when booking.

What payment do you take?

I now use an online booking system see opening times & booking which handles all payments securely and safely. No money is taken from your account until your session/treatment has ended.

Do you treat Male Clients?

Yes. I see both male and female clients. I do understand that in a world where there are less reputable places operating, some female therapists are wary of treating male clients. From my own experience of treating my regular male clients. They are genuinely interested in how my treatments can help re-balance their health and restore their wellbeing. My male clients appreciate being able to have access to a professional, qualified therapist offering high quality treatments that don’t make them feel excluded from booking based on their gender and the reputation of a few individuals who are looking for something completely different. However as with both male and female clients, I will not tolerate any inappropriate behaviour.

What do you use in your massage treatments and holistic facials?

My basic massage treatments use a fantastic range of liquid waxes from ‘Songbird Naturals’ they come pre-blended with high quality essential oils. I find it is an ideal medium to work with for my gentle massages. Plus it nourishes and hydrates your skin long after your treatment has ended. They also smell divine!

For my Ritual and Pure Holistic facials. I use a range of luxury organic skincare products from a lovely family run UK company Pinks Boutique. Their high quality range deliver results to nourish and hydrate your skin, with a range of samples & full size products available to purchase so that you can continue with looking after your skin when back at home. see purchase organic skincare below ( (purchases optional and I receive a very small commission)

For my Oncology treatments I use 100% pure organic products from ‘ Made for Life’ Cornwall which are completely safe to use.
